Hundreds of years ago, there was a forest called Oko-Erin, there were many elephants in this bush, that was why it is called Oko-Erin [elephant forest], only the brave and powerful hunters live in this forest. Òjó Oníṣekúṣe [Ojo the promiscuous], who was from Ijesha, was the first hunter to arrive Oko-Erin he was a brave and powerful hunter. Ẹ̀mìńlá from Ìlá- Ọ̀ràngún also came and met Òjó Oníṣekúṣe in this forest; he was a powerful hunter too. Both Òjó Oníṣekúṣe and Ẹ̀mìńlá do not live at Oko-Erin, they only hunt for a while and return to their family. Ọláderin arrived Oko-Erin after Ẹ̀mìńlá and Òjó Oníṣekúse.   Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, was agog on Friday as the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, crowned 10 out of 11 members of the Olubadan Advisory Council, who have been elevated from the position of ‘High Chiefs’ to beaded-crown wearing kings. Governor Seyi Makinde of the state also presented staffs of office to the 10 new kings, during the coronation ceremony, which was held at the popular Mapo Hall Arcade, Ibadan. Veteran movie actor, Kehinde Segun Remi, also known as Chief Kanran,  is also a movie director. He was born in 1953 in Keesi, Ogun State, Nigeria.  He started theatre from childhood at a time when dramas were staged during Easter and Christmas. A Family Court sitting at Iyaganku, today ordered the remand of a skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, popularly known as Trinity Guy in Agodi correctional facility over alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl. The court also arraigned Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, who are parents of the victim on two-count charge of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation alongside the skit maker. The Magistrate, Mrs P.O. Adetuyibi, who did not take the defendants’ plea for want of jurisdiction, said that the case file had been filed and duplicated at the Oyo State Ministry of Justice. Adetuyibi remanded the three defendants in Agodi correctional facility, Ibadan, pending July 11 when the case would come up for mention. The Defence Counsel, Mr Oludare Adebayo, argued that Section 41 empowered the court to hear the matter. Adebayo also said the victim was a product of poverty.
